Amanda Brugel

Pointe Claire, a quiet area located in the West Island of Montreal is one of those "sleepy" place. A lot of people who aren't aware of the name mistakenly believe that the West Island extends westward from Montreal. In fact it is it is the West Island includes everything westward from Lachine. Lachine. Amanda Brugel grew up on the West Island, and it is often referred to as her birthplace. It is true that she was there for a brief time. Brugel lived in Courtice outside Oshawa Ontario. When she was a child she hoped to become a performer but an unexpected growth spurt made it impossible. In an article that was published in The Toronto Star that she is 6'1" tall, even when she wears heels. When I surpassed any male partner then I slowed down. Many ex-dancers switch to acting. In Brugel's case it was because of the advice of her drama teacher at her high school which pushed her to the path she needed. The teacher suggested she try to get a role for the school's annual show. After trying out her options, she was eventually the main character of Anne of Green Gables. It led to her receiving a Fine Arts Talent Scholarship from York University. In 2000 she graduated with a BA in Fine Arts at York University. Since then, Brugel's been involved in more than 60 shows, smaller and large. Most notable was the time she was cast as Rita in The Handmaid's Tale. Brugel played the role of Rita in the Handmaid's Tale which was filming over 10 years ago.
